The Freedom of Fashion: Be Yourself

We often hear the expression "Be Yourself". Some of us think about personality and expression. Yes, I want to be free. Free to be "Me". So on October 10th, 2010 I attended House of Style Productions X-PRESSION: BE YOURSELF at the Morgan Street Brewery downtown St. Louis, MO. I worked with a great hair stylist Jesse Wendt who rocked my first look with twigs up do hair to compliment my African Mud Cloth (all behind the scenes pictures are posted below). Nikki Kelly, my make up artist from Tami Scott Studio were amazing too. She definitely knew what she was doing. Great experience and yes, interesting!

There were 32 models (yes, a lot of models) and 15 photographers, although I didn't get to shoot with them all, due to time. Trust me, I normally spend at least 4 hours to work with one photographer. So with that many photographers and models, we haven't talked about styling and make up yet lol, it would take more than 11:00AM - 6:00PM.
This time I worked with so many great and published professionals. They are:

MORGAN STREET BREWERY

Nestled on cobblestone streets polished by more than 200 years of commerce along the Mississippi River, Morgan Street Brewery radiates the charm that only history can impart. Morgan Street Brewery’s rich architecture and warm interiors are highlighted by burnished wood and exposed brick and feature cozy nooks and corners. The main brewery building and adjacent Lodge, both more than 130 years old, are separated by a brick patio that is as perfect for cafĂ© style dining as the popular outdoor dining patio along second street.

Morgan Street Brewery, founded in 1995, is one of the oldest buildings in historic Laclede’s Landing. It’s where St. Louis- and thousands of visitors from other cities- go for great times, great food and fabulous beers made right on the premises in Morgan Street’s micro brewery.

I will update the gallery and portfolio as soon as I get all the images. Love!
