The Freedom of Fashion: Be Yourself
We often hear the expression "Be Yourself". Some of us think about personality and expression. Yes, I want to be free. Free to be "Me". So on October 10th, 2010 I attended House of Style Productions X-PRESSION: BE YOURSELF at the Morgan Street Brewery downtown St. Louis, MO. I worked with a great hair stylist Jesse Wendt who rocked my first look with twigs up do hair to compliment my African Mud Cloth (all behind the scenes pictures are posted below). Nikki Kelly, my make up artist from Tami Scott Studio were amazing too. She definitely knew what she was doing. Great experience and yes, interesting!
There were 32 models (yes, a lot of models) and 15 photographers, although I didn't get to shoot with them all, due to time. Trust me, I normally spend at least 4 hours to work with one photographer. So with that many photographers and models, we haven't talked about styling and make up yet lol, it would take more than 11:00AM - 6:00PM.
This time I worked with so many great and published professionals. They are:
♦ Amazing designer Ola Hawatmeh with her OLA STYLE

♦ Beautiful jewelry designer Melissa Hall with her NORTHERN LIGHTS JEWELRY

Nestled on cobblestone streets polished by more than 200 years of commerce along the Mississippi River, Morgan Street Brewery radiates the charm that only history can impart. Morgan Street Brewery’s rich architecture and warm interiors are highlighted by burnished wood and exposed brick and feature cozy nooks and corners. The main brewery building and adjacent Lodge, both more than 130 years old, are separated by a brick patio that is as perfect for cafĂ© style dining as the popular outdoor dining patio along second street.
Morgan Street Brewery, founded in 1995, is one of the oldest buildings in historic Laclede’s Landing. It’s where St. Louis- and thousands of visitors from other cities- go for great times, great food and fabulous beers made right on the premises in Morgan Street’s micro brewery.
I will update the gallery and portfolio as soon as I get all the images. Love!

Enough is Enough! STOP Bullying! STOMP Out Bullying!
I pledge to stand up against bullying!!!
Again and again we hear more horrible stories about bullying, cyberbullying, or any type of abuse. Can we say enough? We don't want anymore victims, whether it's children or adults (believe me, adults may experience that too). Let's stand up to bullying and make a better world. One voice can definitely make a difference if everybody thinks the same way.
There are some nonprofit organizations for people to unite, pledge, show their commitments to stand up against bullying. One of them is Love Our Children USA.
Love Our Children USA is the national nonprofit leader and ‘Go-To’ prevention organization fighting all forms of violence and neglect against children in the U.S.
STOMP Out Bullying is an amazing program of Love Our Children USA that focuses on reducing and preventing bullying, cyberbullying and other digital abuse, decreasing school absenteeism and truancy, educating against homophobia, racism and hatred and deterring violence in schools, playgrounds, online and in communities across the country.
October 3rd – 9th is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Week and October 4th is the Second Annual BLUE SHIRT DAY.
Since 1999, Love Our Children USA has broken ground in preventing violence against children and eliminating behaviors that keep them from reaching their full potential. It teaches effective parenting solutions and fosters kid success by creating valuable programs that empower positive changes in parenting and family attitudes, bullying and cyberbullying prevention, Internet safety and school violence prevention through public education. GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) also took steps with its GLSEN 2010 LA Respect Awards Online Auction. Check them out at www.charitybuzz.com/glsen

Glamour and Beauty at Different Level
On September 13th, 2010 I had a chance working with a professional photographer (Fashion and Glamour) Carl Zaiss. The shoot started at 10:00 AM and I arrived on time (of course!). Oh I love photoshoot in the morning! I don't know why. Probably because other than I'm a morning person, after having morning coffee, I usually feel that the world looks so fresh. lol
Anyway, here are some of the images:
There are a lot of great images we created, but I don't post them all here. I usually will pick four or five best images for my portfolio anyway :)
I highly recommend Carl Zaiss Photography. Professional, great quality images, and Carl is very nice and polite. Check out his website for further details of his work.
